Level 6 Transition

Level 6 Transition, 2016 to 2017

At Level/Year 6, parents need to decide what secondary school will be the most suitable for their child. This decision is not an easy one. It is highly recommended that numerous secondary schools are visited, to help you make an informed decision. Secondary schools have open evenings and conduct school tours which you are warmly welcome to be part of. Each school’s web site is another way to find out what is on offer.

In Term2, the Level 6 students receive information packs from local secondary schools, explaining all about their school. This material is freely available to families. Throughout the year, a number of activities are undertaken with local secondary schools for familiarity and enjoyment.

At Rangeview, we understand the importance of preparing students for their transition to secondary school. Activities that encourage conversation, initiative and thinking are practised throughout the year. Students need to feel comfortable and confident in their new surroundings.
